Data that we collect

We do not collect any data from Wavelength.

Your usage of Wavelength with servers

In order to use Wavelength, you must connect to an OpenSubsonic server. Such servers will be able to collect various information from Wavelength as part of your access to that server, such as which songs and albums you are listening to.

Wavelength provides a setting “Report activity to server”. When you turn off this setting, less information will be sent to the server. But due to the nature of how client-server access works, the server may still be able to collect some data, even when this setting has been turned off.

We recommend using Wavelength with servers that you personally own and control.

Data that Apple provides to us

  • Wavelength is available through the Mac App Store, which is operated by Apple Inc. (“Apple”)

  • Your use of the Mac App Store and the Mac is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

  • Apple provides general statistics about how many people have downloaded our app, and subscription and sales transactions. This data does not identify individuals. We do not know the identities of the people who download, use, subscribe to, or purchase our app.

  • When Wavelength encounters certain types of errors (a “crash”), Apple may collect information about the error and send it to us. We use this information solely to attempt to fix the problem so that our customers will not experience the same error in the future. It is possible that this data may contain incidentally identifying information. If you do not wish for this information to be sent to us, you can opt out via the setting named “Analytics & Improvements – Share with app developers” on your Apple device. Your correspondence with us

  • If you contact us via email, social media, or other means, we may retain such correspondence for our business or legal needs.

Our web site

  • When you visit our web site, our web site service provider collects aggregate information such as the number of times people have visited and the amount of data transferred, for billing purposes. We do not track people who visit our web site, and we do not sell data collected from our web site.

Compliance

  • Children under the age of 13: We do not knowingly keep information about anyone under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use our web site and products.
